Quick, somebody call PSICOM! There's a real-life l'Cie in our midst, and it happens to be none other than Square Enix CEO Yoichi Wada. Take him back to Pulse!...of course not! The publisher exec was seen with a (most likely temporary) tattoo on his hand during a publicity stunt for
Final Fantasy XIII in the US. Square Enix had set up a stage at the GDC to celebrate the game's launch in North America.
Wada's tattoo is the mark of the l'Cie, a person branded by the warring gods of
Final Fantasy XIII (fal'Cie) to do their bidding by way of a specific task. Because of the magical powers l'Cie inherit, and the orders they are forced to carry out, they are seen as a threat to the technological supercity known as Cocoon.
It's a fun thing, for sure, but it doesn't beat Peter Moore's
Halo 2 tattoo at E3 several years ago. We wonder if any other company executives are going to follow suit and ink their bodies for the sake of their games? Super Tattoo Contest Go!
