Yesterday's Ubisoft announcements concerning money and games also contained a reference to a 'new Assassin's Creed episode'.The exact wording is, "The 2010-11 fiscal year will see a greater number of franchise releases than in 2009-10, including
Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction, a new game in the
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon series,
Prince of Persia The Forgotten Sands, Driver, Raving Rabbids 4 and a new episode of
Assassin’s Creed, which will be the first in the series to have an online multiplayer mode."
That word 'episode' lead to everybody and their Uncle Devon's cat leaping to the conclusion that Ubi' was talking about DLC. It wasn't. This 'episode' is in fact a new game. What platform it's on, we don't know. What we don't know because Ubi has made it public is that whatever it is will "be a full game, and not a new episode of DLC"; if that's not good enough then... "The
AC game referenced in [the] announcement is not tied to the
AC2 DLC".
So,
Assassin's Creed III or more
AssCreed for DS and PSP?
