If you like your MMO trials with a little more than a pesky time limit, it might be worth checking out Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures, that has an “Unlimited Trial” running right now.
There’s not really much more to it than that. Feel free to dip your toe into an online RPG world that isn’t World of Warcraft and broaden your horizons, and then perpetually stay in trial mode like the freeloader that you are/aren't. Or buy the game if you end up liking it.
