Nintendo's promotion to get as many of their Wiis connected to the Internet begins today, as the Connection Ambassador initiative truly gets underway. Basically, for every person you help connect, you earn 500 Wii Points (as does the person you helped). You can earn up to 10,000 points this way.
More interesting is the Gold and Platinum Ambassador statuses – the former activating when you help 10 or more people, and allows you to download all first party (read: Nintendo published) NES games for free on Virtual Console; and the latter letting you download any and all NES, SNES and N64 games for free once you help 20 people.
So what are you sitting here reading this for? Get to helping that granny pronto!
