Final Fantasy XIII - Release Date Announcement Soon

Remember when big announcements could just be made, without tortuous lead-ups? Yeah, if we squint a bit and think about it really hard we almost can, too. Yoichi Wada, president and CEO of Square Enix, says that we'll know the release date of Final Fantasy XIII pretty soon.

"We'll be making an announcement in a few weeks", Wada has said of the release date.

Currently, release is simply pegged for this winter in Japan. The announcement will, we expect, relate to the Japanese release. Don't hold your breath for an announcement for Western folk.
