Torture porn poster child, SAW creator, James Wan, is apparently to get co-writing and directing duties on the forthcoming Castlevania movie, if you believe what he says to Bloodydisgusting.com.
Apparently the "East-meets-West tone" and the vampire killer whip are what drew Wan to the project.
He is, of course, "thrilled by the opportunity to make a highly stylized, fantasy, action film that focuses on the gothic storyline and the cool, anime-like characters."
Currently, IMDB has Sylvain White (I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer) down in the director's chair. Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil and Death Race) and Ian Jeffers (Death Sentence) will be joining Wan at the word processor.
Well, at least it's not Uwe Boll or Lars von Trier...
