Jerry Bruckheimer Games (the baby of Hollywood bigwig... well, you know) has hired Jim Veevaert, executive producer on
Halo 3, as 'President of Production'.
The development studio, which SPOnG told you about
way back in 2007, looks set for some sort of big push.
The LA Times is helpfully
reporting that "Bruckheimer plans to announce today the creation of Jerry Bruckheimer Games Inc", while numerous mainstream press outlets have put up headlines about the venture in the last few hours.
Also
working for the studio is Jay Cohen, formerly senior VP of publishing for Ubisoft's North American outfit and now President of Development at Bruckheimer Games.
The studio is partnered with MTV Games.
That's not a bad haul of talent, so far. But, is it really a good idea for Hollywood to take another pop at games? Let us know in the Forum.
