Bugger the global economic apocalyptic meltdown nightmare... Nintendo has made cash! It's released its full year financial report for the 12 months ending March 31st and profits for the year were up at ¥279.1bn (£1.86bn), an increase over last year's ¥257.3b (£1.71bn). Operating income was up 14% to ¥555.26b (£3.7bn).
Other highlights from the report include 25.95 million Wii sales over the year, giving us a total of 50.39m sales to date and DS sales of 31.18m, bringing the handheld's total lifetime sales to 101.78m.
The scary thing is that around a third of all those Wii owners have Wii Fit - it's racked up a total of 18.22m sales.
In among the good news, however, was the fact that the company made a loss in the final fiscal quarter (ended on March 31st). It's also expecting to make less cash in the year to March 2010 than it did in 2009.
