The cliché that 'there is nothing new under the sun' isn't true. Back in 1987 you would be sold a hack'n'slash game with a Page 3-stunna (in the case of Barbarian and Barbarian II, Maria Whittaker). She would be accompanied by a hunky bloke (Wolf from Gladiators).
Coming right up to date in 2009 we are sold a hack'n'slash game without the need for the hunky bloke. Instead we get some lady's cheeks and a badly hidden side-boob shot... and a lion-headed game character who appears to have fallen out of the shower of a Kilrathi battle cruiser.
