Summary

MX vs. ATV Alive from THQ follows in the incredibly successful tyre tracks of MX vs. ATV Reflex, bringing off-road racing competition to the console scene. As the name suggests, at heart what you have here is some hardcore MotoX bikes versus some super-tuned All Terrain Vehicles battling out all over the world and online for supremacy.

The game comes with a new “Bar-to-Bar” racing mechanic that allows for more physical contact between riders enabling the player or players to really get into each other’s faces (and tracks) during racing. This is matched by the game’s physics engine, which is capable of delivering even more refined terrain deformation as well as smooth and intuitive controls. These enable beginners to rank up to hardcore racers, while enabling the elite to get even more control over their vehicles.

With two-time AMA Supercross Champion James Stewart featuring in the in-game tutorials, MX vs. ATV Alive will educate players as well as keep them entertained.

This, the latest title in the series brings with it enhanced physics plus a useful twist on DownLoadable Content (DLC). With an initially low-price for the boxed-copy, the player can add tracks, vehicles and other items via downloads to keep them busy for ages.
