Summary
EA Sports Active 2 is for people who like their party games but really want to get fit in a more serious manner.
It features the ability for the player to use the wireless free tracking sensors in leg and arm straps as well at their Wii remote to accurately monitor body activity while enabling freedom of movement.
Also included is a heart-rate monitor which provides on-screen feedback and tracking data in order to enable to player to get a real sense of progress – or lack of it. Users of the system will be able to use this on-screen feedback and share the data online in order to compete with exercise buddies.
With more than 70 exercises and activities to choose from, gamers can customise their workouts to optimally meet their life-style choices and daily schedules. This means that even a newcomer to an exercise regime can get started before maximising their fitness potential.
Activities include squats, lunges, and bicep curls and fitness activities such as mountain boarding, basketball, and boxing. EA Sports Active 2 also comes with a nine-week Program, which has been designed by certified personal trainers to provide total body conditioning using progressive exercise. It comes with a movational Fitness Roadmap.
All of this can be supplemented with downloadable content – such as new workouts and exercises.
