Summary

Rush For Berlin (RFB) is a real time strategy game, set on the European battlefields of World War II during the period 1944-45. The premise of the game is to capture the German capital, playing as either the Red army of the Soviet Union or the British/French/US alliance. The nearer you get to the German capital, the greater and more difficult RFB becomes. Ultimately, the capture of Berlin signifies the end of World War II in Europe.

RFB is based on real historical facts. However, it is possible to change history and play out an alternative reality. For example, gamers can choose to play either a historical timeline or an alternate World War II reality. RFB is graphically impressive (using the Gepard 3D engine) with fully destructible buildings, authentic landscapes and detailed soldiers. Your march on Berlin can be affected by certain elements, such as the time of day (RFB has a day and night cycle) and weather conditions, which can have either a positive or negative influence on gameplay. The various sound effects used in RFB, such as exploding bombs, machine gun fire and troop movement are very realistic, which ultimately adds to the immersive gameplay.

Gamers will enjoy the different speciality commands that some rank officers and units have in RFB. These can range from raising the morale of troops nearby to repairing parts from fallen vehicles. Some units also have some great features like calling in air-strikes or recon, and remotely controlling prototype World War II weapons that never actually made it into battle during history.

So, if you want to experience how the Third Reich was defeated in 1945 or play an alternative reality, ultimately changing history forever, Rush For Berlin is the game for you.
