Summary

If you're in trouble, call the Elite Beat Agents. 'Cos if you're in a jam, then all these sharp-suited dudes do is jam! The general populace is familiar with government agencies like the CIA and the FBI, but the Elite Beat Agents belong to a super-secret agency. The Men in Black look-a-likes are the heroes' heroes and you couldn't wish for a cooler trio of guys. But, according to official records, they simply do not exist.

Their leader is an ex-CIA agent named Commander Kahn who monitors the planet for cries for help. When he finds one, he sends the agents - Spin, Chieftain and J - who help their subjects via the medium of song and dance. Note that there is a group of Elite Beat Divas too, for when the job gets really tough, Commander Kahn can send in the girls. As the music plays, players tap the lower screen with the stylus and trace rhythmic patterns to keep to the beat as the story unfolds - comic book-style on the top screen. The hypnotic nature of the rocking agents revives the subjects with 'Groovy' energy that boosts their willpower and helps them overcome their obstacles. Well, that's as long as you can keep up to the pulsating rhythms of licensed songs such as 'YMCA', 'Material Girl' and 'Sk8er Boi'.

You can save the day by rocking solo, playing co-operatively or head-to-head against a friend. Who would have thought that the simple pleasures of terpsichore could save the day? Elite Beat Agents is proof of such a bold statement, and great fun to boot.
