Summary

Arthur and the Invisibles is an adventure game based on the Luc Besson film and series of books Arthur et les Minimoys. Arthur is a 10 year-old boy who discovers the adventure of a lifetime in his own back garden, as he takes up the challenge of saving the Land of the Invisibles. Arthur, a natural acrobat, is not alone in his fight to save the Invisibles from destruction: warrior Selenia and Betameche, a marksman of some renown, are along for the trip too, as the gameplay is based on the concept of combining the three characters' different skills to surmount all obstacles. There are many mysteries and puzzles to overcome, but - to borrow a phrase from poorly-acted US witchcraft series Charmed - with the power of three, the fate of the little people from the backyard should be safe in your hands.

Adventure is too light a description for Arthur and the Invisibles. There are also elements of fighting, driving and flying, along with the regular platform staples of obstacles and puzzles, so there's plenty of variation for the target audience.

A gripping adventure with or without knowing the story behind the movie, Arthur and the Invisibles is a game rich not only in the tale it has to tell, but also in variation and its appearance. It's a looker alright, and well worth a look if you're a fan of the genre.
