Summary

The Tiny Toons animated series has proved to be a highly popular franchise, perhaps due to its wacky nature and comical scripts. The humour of the series has even reached into the minds of reluctant adult viewers. The stars of Tiny Toons have received quite a few video game adventures based upon them, and now, Toonenstein: Dare To Scare puts Plucky and Hamton in the mansion of the nasty Elmyra. Desperate to escape, the devilish twosome begin searching the mansion looking for an exit.

The structure of the game is based around a point-and-click style of play, using the PlayStation’s controller. Elmyra’s mansion has a number of floors, and on each one, you must activate six actuators so you can take a ride in the lift to the next floor, and so on. There are 34 of these devices in total, but beware; some of them are booby-trapped. Graphically, Toonenstein is built on pre-rendered images that flow seamlessly into video footage of the house when you change locations. It’s nice to look at, but its not 3D.

Can you escape from the vicious animal loving Elmyra? Your favourite Toons' life depends on it.
