You know golf. Vast stretches of the greenest grass, twittering birds, and pockets of kagoule-clad spectators, only outdone in the sartorial stakes by the golfers themselves. Theyre all here in Everybodys Golf 2.
Whereas the majority of golfing games on the market sometimes take themselves far too seriously, Everybodys Golf 2 is everything the title promises, an experience which we can all enjoy. Even if youre one of those people who baulk at the mere mention of the sport, and, as the old saying goes, consider it a good walk ruined, the sheer depth of thought that has gone into the production of this game will keep you coming back for another swing.
Everybodys Golf 2 plays just like a golf title should. The control system is uncomplicated, and unless youve been living in a cave for the last umpteen years, the rules of the tournaments herein are childs-play. Not that theres anything immature about this particular title, far from it. The caricatured players are no concession to the gameplay, this is golf after all, and theres only two ways to play it: well or poorly. The control system is so easy to use, however, that youll be putting the ball away in no time. The more proficient you become as the game progresses, the more courses there are to unlock, but with a proliferation of game options and competitions at the outset, there is plenty to be getting on with.
So, maybe theres no official license to provide the full-on authentic golfing experience, but Everybodys Golf 2 is well worth a close look. Its a bright, handsome-looking game, boasting a multitude of course views, player tantrums and celebrations, and the essential bad taste trouser and shirt combos. Top hole.
