Summary

As Nickelodeon would tell you, pull up your squarepants, clean up that diaper, get out of your shell and... er, finish your homework! The year's most unlikely kart racer is here and it's called Nickelodeon Kart Racers.

The headline for this madcap racing game is surely the line-up of racers, pulled from some of the most iconic series ever to grace Nickelodeon's show listings. The playable characters include SpongeBob, Patrick, and Sandy from SpongeBob SquarePants, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo, and Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Arnold and Helga from Hey Arnold! and Angelica, Tommy and Reptar from Rugrats!

The action looks closer to the high-flying brashness of SEGA and Sonic All-Star Racers than Mario Kart, but Nickelodeon Kart Racers has one trick that's very much all its own: slime. The iconic gunk, which has been getting gleefully poured over the heads of celebrities on kids TV since the 1970s, is everywhere in this game. It plays a major part on the track. Players can zip over patches of the stuff to fill their 'slime bar' and activate speed boosts, but some of the patches of the stuff are so big that your kart will turn into a jetski to glide across them!

There are 24 different slime-filled tracks, including Bikini Bottom, NYC sewers, Tommy Pickle's house, Arnold's school and more. It's a weird one, that's for sure, and kids are going to love it!
