Summary

War! Huh!

What is it good for?!

Absolutely... no, wait. It's good for craft. Warcraft. It's been good for that for years.

Now, breathing new life into the elder statesman of the MMORPG world is the Battle for Azeroth expansion. First off, yes - there's a hike in the level cap, bringing it to 120. Secondly, yes - LOADS of new land to explore. As a champion of the Horde you'll travel to the empire of Zandalar to petition the trolls to lend their naval might to your cause. As a member of the Alliance, meanwhile, you'll venture to the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras, home of Jaina Proudmoore, and attempt to get them on board for the fight. Because, you know, war is coming...

One new form that war will take is a new mode that takes its inspiration from the Warcraft RTS games of old, with large scale co-operative missions for up to 20 players that will see you capture resources to build your faction's forces, lay siege to objectives and claim a key strategic location.

Another new addition is Island Expeditions, which see you battle in groups of three as you set out to explore and claim a partially procedurally-generated island, battling against AI or enemy players to collect resources and fuel the war effort.

The Battle for Azeroth is on!
