Summary

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is a title that takes the massive, war-ridden mileu of the Warhammer 40K tabletop and spins it out into a massively multiplayer online game. For gamers who are already fans of Warhammer, that might be all they need to hear!

While Eternal Crusade is certainly an MMO, however, at its core it's a shooter. Don't expect to find non-player characters with question marks hovering over their heads doling out missions. It's a game about territory. Players will sign up with one of four factions, Orks, Space Marines, Eldar, and Chaos Space Marines, then pick one of 20 different sub-factions, then duke it out in either player vs player or player vs environment battles to take the planet of Arkhona. Players can pile in with melee combat, take to the sky with a jump pack or fire into the fray from the turrets of a predator.

With PvE play proceedings take on a different feel. The four playable factions might be battling for the surface, but Arkhona already has inhabitants - the Tyranids. Battling them is like entering into a horde mode, with players completing objectives under the planet's surface and battling wave after wave of insectoid aliens.

Expect Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade to be big, brutal and bloody.
