Summary
With another season of American Football we get a new iteration of Electronic Arts' Madden NFL series.
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is the cover star this year and, appropriately, a renewed focus has been placed on defence. When a player takes control of a defender they'll see a cone representing their field of vision and be able to make a call as to whether to make a conservative tackle or go bigger to force a fumble. Likewise, the defensive AI has been upgraded and the best players won't be easily evaded.
On the offensive side, plays can now be sorted by personnel, scheme or even concept. Novices can even get advice on what plays to run based on their history and the tendencies of their opponents.
Connected Franchise mode returns, enabling players to join a team as a superstar player, coach or owner. Madden Ultimate Team is available again, with players building their own squad based on collectible cards.
