One of the biggest sensations in gaming is back!
In Skylanders Swap Force, portal masters have an all-new adventure to embark on. It's time to journey to the Cloudbreak Islands, home of a strange volcano that erupts once every hundred years to replenish the magic of the Skylands. During a titanic battle a group of Skylanders got caught in the eruption and thrown to earth, but that wasn't all it did. It also gave them the strange ability to swap halves, turning them into a special team called the Swap Force. As it happens, Kaos is back with an evil new plan, too, and portal masters have to reassemble Swap Force and get them back to Cloudbreak to save the day!
For those new to Skylanders, the way the series works is that players collect figures that they place into their portal. Once they've done this, the character comes to life in the game to bring powerful new abilities into play and open new routes through the world! Players can even save their progress to specific characters and take them round to a friend's to pick up where they left off, regardless of platform!
While Swap Force is most definitely aimed at younger audiences, underneath that all-ages skin is a deceptive level of depth. It's a Diablo-style, action-heavy dungeon crawler with an expansive skill tree and plenty of loot to boost your stats.
But all those collectible figures definitely add up to a huge pile of icing on the cake!
