Dance Central 3 - Xbox 360

Each year, as Christmas approaches, the year's big party games begin to make their appearances. Following shortly in the release schedule after the multi-platform Just Dance 4 is the other big player in the dance party game market: Dance Central.

The third version of the Xbox 360 Kinect exclusive title from Guitar Hero creator Harmonix brings the Crew Throwdown mode to the game. Instead of dancing al on your own, you can team up with up to three other players to compete against rival crews in head-to-head dance battles.

The 'keep the beat' mini game rewards you for your rhythm, and Make your Move gives you a chance to freestyle it and create moves and routines on the fly.

If you're new to the whole rhythm/dance genre, fear not, because Dance Central 3 has a new tutorial mode designed just for you. And once you get the hang of things (and it's just about shaking your body, after all) you can dive into Party Mode which keeps a rapid fire string of randomly selected tunes coming your way, and automatically increases (or decreases) the difficulty according to how well you are doing.

Each crew of avatars you can play in the game represents a different decade, from the seventies upto the present day, and you can use them to shake your bootie to the following songs:
