Summary
Off-Road Drive brings Cross-country driving in specially tuned Sport Utility Vehicles (SUVs) to the PC.
The game enables players to take part in a wide range of international competitions, all of which have been created especially to duplicate their real world counterparts, including Petronas Suvium Silverstone Challenge in Thailand, the largest Russian Ladoga Trophy Raid. These all include extreme driving techniques as well as making use of the rules established by their respective international auto sports federations.
As well as the races, the vehicles in the game all have the same features as their real-world versions. Every vehicle is classed suitably for specific competitions and each one is realistically compliant with the international requirements.
Players have full control of their chosen racing SUV, with speed and direction as well as the ability to lock the main, front and rear differential gears by way of the winch. Players can also adjust tire pressures.
As well as using the Unreal Engine 3 for both graphics and a realistic physics, Off-Road Drive models the off-road vehicle behaviour using real-world parameters, including vehicle suspension type and resistance of the environment.
The game can be played in single player or using various multiplayer modes via Internet and LAN.
