Summary

With Dungeon Hunter: Alliance, the PlayStation Vita gets an action Role-Playing Game (RPG) developed by GameLoft (the team responsible for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory on the DS).

The game is set in the fantasy world Gothicus with a tyrannical Queen who was once beloved of the hero. In this single-player or full-blown multiplayer experience, the gamer can choose from one of four unique and individual heroes in a huge main quest (complete with challenging side quests) all of which contain many collectible items. All this is carried out over 30 specially designed and realised levels featuring dungeons, villages, forests and also including areas that are randomly generated.

The player can choose their character class, optimise their hero's development by assigning experience points to the attributes of your choice, and equip their hero with the best armour thanks to the items they collect throughout their adventure.

The “hack'n'slah” combat has been especially constructed to make best use of the Vita's specific controls and other hardware. Touch controls enable the gamer to pick specific items in the game. The back touch panel is used to activate spells, and the player can even counter enemy attacks using the accelerometer by shaking the Vita.

Using the PlayStation Network, the gamer can join friends to form a team for online adventuring in which they will not only encounter Gothicus's strange and wonderful characters and creatures, but also players from all across the real world.

Once initial training is complete, and the gamer has teamed up, the game itself will adapt its difficulty to accommodate the number of players in a team. Then it's time to get questing and get points up on the global leaderboards.
