Summary

Nintendo’s 3DS gets Ninjas. It also gets to make full use of its tilt-controls leading to a game that never needs the gamer to touch any buttons.

Cubic Ninja from Ubisoft and AQ Interactive (Boing! Docomodake) sets a variety of challenging puzzles for the gamer to complete simply by tilting the 3DS.

It’s not all puzzles though, the gamer must also outwit fiendish foes as well as escaping devious traps in order to survive in their role as brave – and tiny – ninja ‘CC’. The plot sees CC trying to find and, of course, rescue The Princess as well as other ninjas. This plays out over 100 unique levels with enemies such as Woofbot and Scorchbot.

While this can all be achieved in single-player mode, there is also the option to use the Nintendo 3DS’ networking capabilities to share a ghosted replay of your best run in order to get friends and family to beat the time.

Once all the levels are played out, however, that’s not the end of the affair as Cubic Ninja also delivers the capability to the gamer to create and play their own levels. As with the ghosted runs, these levels can also be shared.
