Summary

Point and click adventures usually involve the player indirectly controlling the lead characters under the guise of a ‘guiding hand.’ But what if your actions were coming from the perspective of a character in the game? eXperience 112 breaks the fourth wall by having you as a surveillance worker as you manipulate security cameras and remotely controlled equipment to help Professor Lea Nichols escape from an abandoned super tanker.

This super tanker, incidentally, has been pretty vacant for some 25 years - in 1970, there were initially no traces of any human life on board. The appearance of Lea Nichols’ on your computer surveillance screen is a little bit disturbing given the circumstances. She’s desperate to escape the vessel and asks you to help her ‘fulfil her destiny.’

Using your security system you indirectly tell her where she needs to go - turn lights on and off, open doors, enter codes, control helper robots and deciphering all kinds of documents. While many may be useful to Lea’s success, some objects won’t be of any help at all - it’s up to you to decide which is which. After a long and gruelling journey throughout the tanker, you’ll meet a strange alien civilisation which will challenge your perception of the world.
