Hidden object games are fun for a little while, but then they start to get a little bit stale. What happens after you’ve found all of the items you need and completed all of the levels? “There must be another way,” we hear you exclaim in a faux sense of alarm usually reserved for detergent adverts.

There is another way actually, and it’s quite imaginative - Hidden Photo uses the cameras on the Nintendo DSi or DSi XL to create custom object-based puzzles from a limitless number of real-world locations. Take a photo of your house and then try to pluck out tools and other nik-naks from the brickwork.

You can create custom puzzles and share them with friends around the world, and you can create all kinds of brain-teasers for your pals to scratch their heads at. Alongside the classic hidden object poser, you can build Spot the Difference puzzles, memory games where you must find the items in the correct order, and Word Searches that hide the letters of a particular word in your photo.
