Renaissance is the latest expansion pack for PC strategy game The Guild 2, which increases the size and diversity of the game world while offering a whole heap of new challenges to test your brain matter. As the title suggests, your story here begins in the last day of a dark age defined by clergy and nobility.
With the start of the 15th Century, so too do you see the seeds of a more artistic world begin to take root. Common artisans and traders are thriving in business, and people learn how to read and write. In short, the people gain value in terms of freedom and individuality – but can you keep up with the change in societal values?
The Guild 2: Renaissance contains nine new character classes (otherwise known as careers) – Mercenary, Undertaker, Mason, Entertainer, Innkeeper, Banker, Miller and Fruit Farm Proprietor are just some of the new careers you'll be able to take advantage of. You get to earn new titles by completing various challenges, and the enemy AI has been vastly improved to offer a more realistic and engaging world.
Even in this exciting new age, war keeps breaking out! You'll be required to engage in battle many times, so keep on your toes, rise your way up the title ranks and defeat those that try to disturb the peace!
