Summary

We all love a good virtual war, and there's nothing like playing a game that really makes you feel like a commander overlooking the hectic warzone. The Strategic Command series has been doing this for three games now, and this latest entry puts you right in the middle of the events that took place during World War II.

Instead of just pitting the main allies and enemy forces together in a limited recreation, WWII Global Conflict lives up to its name by allowing you to take on battles around the entire planet. Europe, North Africa, Asia, the Pacific... it's all there for you to get stuck into, with different experiences each time you play thanks to the 50 different decision events that could change the course of history.

The forces of 6 major and 58 minor nations can be yours to control here, with 20 different unique unit types that have up to 30 characteristics and statistics. And there are more improvements made to this game too! An all-new War Mobilisation and Belligerence setting gives AI opponents the ability to act more realistically in the face of the 200 in-game war situations. You can choose the right moment to declare war on another major nation according to historical records too – launch an assault against Japan as the US when it's ready to strike on Pearl Harbour, for example.

Add a comprehensive map editor to the mix, along with full multiplayer support, and you have yourself one packed wargame.
