Summary

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a cartoon that has gained a fair number of young fans – the animated adventures of Aang proved so inspiring for children, that there was sufficient demand for M. Night Shyamalan to direct a live-action film based on it. That's nice, eh?

What's nicer is that the presence of the movie paves way for a video game tie-in. And The Last Airbender promises to deliver the same captivating experience on the go that it does on the big screen. The film is represented very well on the Nintendo DS, right down to the dark and dingy dungeons and locales that each character must traverse in order to defeat the Fire Nation.

Instead of telling the tale of Aang, however, this portable adventure follows the story of antagonist Zuko. This 'bad guy' is in fact the exiled prince of the aforementioned Fire Nation, a legion of soldiers that can channel the powers of the element they're named for. In order to regain his father's honour, Zuko is on a personal quest to seek Aang, also known as the powerful Avatar.

Although Zuko is the focus of the game, you will also be able to play as Aang and the Blue Spirit to engage in a quest that fuses puzzle-platforming action with epic hand-to-hand combat sequences.
