Summary

Puzzle Quest is known for its unique blend of head-to-head brainteasing and fantasy-themed RPG mechanics. The sequel cranks the experience up to eleven, with the promise of brand new weapons, unique spells and shields to counter and defend against your puzzle opponent's advances.

The game really is one of two halves. The core gameplay is in its puzzle mode – medieval combatants size up against one another to play a bout of gem matchmaking. Match three identical gems and you earn an attack against your enemy – be it evil goblins, orcs, vampiric mists or any other manner of freaky fantastical foes.

Beyond the puzzle element is the sort of gameplay you would expect from a top-class role playing game – character customisation between a selection of four classes (War Mage, Inquisitor, Barbarian or Assassin), each with their own play styles and weaknesses. A level-up system means that your chosen character can evolve over time and offer benefits in play.

Explore the vast lands in the Story Mode, head straight into the puzzle action with an Instant Action option or engage in Tournaments and different Multiplayer modes. Pit your experienced fantasy character against another in exciting battles with multiple tactics available to use.
