Summary

Getting into shape can be such a chore these days. There’s never enough time in the day to head to the gym, or go running, or simply look after yourself the way you’d like to. The Wii has been something of a saviour for that reason, providing fitness games and applications that can turn your living room into something of a personal gym. My Body Coach adds to that experience by coming complete with two dumbbell weight peripherals to help you train more efficiently.

In association with sports and nutrition specialists, My Body Coach analyses your age, sex, weight and physical condition and then calculates a specific fitness plan that suits you best. If you’re one of those that doesn’t do anything unless someone famous is involved, the appearance of Valerie Orsoni - the Hollywood star trainer herself - should encourage you to get active. The famous fitness guru will give you advice throughout every step of your fitness plan.

It’s not just about star jumping and yoga either; you’ll be given tips on your nutrition as well, so you can eat healthily as well as exercise. Your plan is completely flexible as well, as you can either start your planned programme when you start the game up or head straight to the virtual gym to mix your schedule up a bit. Variety is the spice of life and all that, after all.

Your movement is captured by two Wii Remotes (which slide into the dumbbell peripherals) and sent to the virtual coach, who will give you encouragement to press on. 200 different movements and activities are included in My Body Coach, meaning your dumbbells will get some serious workout!
