If you're a racing fan, one of the greatest places to be is the Indianapolis 500. One of the oldest motorsport events, The Greatest Spectacle in Racing is an annual affair that sees formula class cars compete along the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Celebrating its 100th Anniversary, the race now starts at home, with Indianapolis 500 Evolution providing the same thrills and spills as its real life counterpart.

The game is set at the birth of modern racing, and your role as engineer is to create the best Indy Race Car the Speedway has ever seen. Build your very first 1960s racer from the bottom up, and use various parts from authentic 60s race machines to customise your open-top speed demon. Everything from the engines, chassis, suspension, wheels, brakes and weight distribution can be tweaked to perfection here.

Once you get on the track, however, there's no turning back. Blistering speeds against 32 opponents (either on or offline) with tricky landscapes to overcome will make this quite a challenge. The track isn't your only enemy; you'll need to avoid crashes and debris from other cars as well.

When you're done with the Motor Speedway, you can tackle other areas of the Indianapolis 500 too, including the Milwaukee Mile, Trenton, Riverside, Hanford and Langhorne Speedway. You'll need all your racing wits about you to come in pole position on all fronts.
