Summary
The pace of Baseball might look a bit like cricket with a thinner bat to us Brits, but the Americans insist it's a fast and exciting sport. Aiming to emphasise that with over the top arcade heroics is The Bigs 2.
As with The Bigs, it's all about those huge moments when you smash a ball into the crowd, but don't let that distract you from the fact that there's a tense pitching game underneath. Each pitcher has four pitches in his repertoire, and knowing just what to let loose at exactly what moment is crucial to success.
New to The Bigs 2 is the Become a Legend. You'll create a player from scratch and progress them all the way from the backwaters of a Mexican league, through the major and, hopefully, into the hall of fame.
If you want to take a wider view, however, you can get stuck in to season mode. It puts you in charge of a team through an entire season, managing your line up, trading players and grappling with the full MLB schedule and stats.
Giving you a break from the serious business of being a baseball hero are a series of mini games. That includes Home Run Pinball, in which you can compete in different, less obvious baseball locations such as Las Vegas, Times Square and Tokyo to cause as much damage with your immense hits as possible.
