Summary

In Populous DS, the player assumes the role of a god and performs various miracles to bring prosperity to their worshippers and reconstruct the world. The main objective of the game is to destroy opposing demons and their worshippers. When the original Populous was released in 1989, it was instantly well received and loved by many users as what we now know as a god game (with a bit of simulation and strategy tossed in for good measure). With additional features and a new look, Populous DS fully utilises the dual screen functionality of the Nintendo DS to allow players to enjoy the experience of being a god to the fullest.

Gamers can manipulate five gods, each with a command of the five elements in the game, and with their own unique takes on Fire, Earth, Water, Air and Harvest, within an extensive single-player campaign. There is also the facility to connect up to four players wirelessly to wreak havoc on opponents' lands with pillars of fire, powerful gusts of wind, volcanic eruptions, tidal waves and other disasters of deadly proportions. Other game modes included are Versus, Challenge Mode, and Free Play, the latter in which you can choose between Populous and Warrior Hunt.
