Summary

If there's one genre that's seemingly gone supernova in recent years, it's rhythm. Previously a field associated with crazy kids dancing like maniacs in arcades, it's entrenched itself in living rooms with the likes of Guitar Hero and made a move from strumming and dancing to drumming thanks almost entirely to Rock Band and the full band experience of Guitar Hero World Tour.

There's a problem with all that, however. It's an expensive business, especially when it comes down to getting a bulky drum kit in your living room. 505 Games, however, has a solution with We Rock: Drum King. Developed exclusively for the Wii, it makes use of the console's motion-sensing Wii Remotes to enable you to drum to your heart's content without the need for expensive peripherals. All you need are a couple of remotes and a bit of sofa space!

You kick off by creating your drummer, then move on to joining a band then start performing in increasingly impressive venues until you become the greatest rock band in the world! Don't worry about the logistics of hitting different drums without a kit, either. You can smack different air skins - including snare, toms, hi-hat and bass - by hitting different buttons on the remotes.

The game features a track list of over 30 songs, and it goes like this:

We Will Rock You - Queen
The Final Countdown - Europe
Be My Baby - The Ronettes
