Summary
The fifth expansion for the critically acclaimed EverQuest II franchise introduces players to over 20 brand new zones and plenty of additional content to entertain long-time fans of the series, whilst providing an exciting premise for newcomers.
Following the best-selling Rise of Kunark expansion, The Shadow Odyssey takes characters through classic EverQuest dungeons such as Nenjena and Mistmoore and offers adventure into 18 more goal-based dungeons. There are also new zones to explore such as the overland area, the Innothule Swamp. A new mission system for dungeon-crawling will also allow players to try past areas again and have a completely different experience than the first time, adding replayability.
To further satisfy the adventurer within you, The Shadow Odyssey also contains five new quests with unique rewards should you choose to accept (and complete) them. The achievement level cap is increased to 200 and new achievements can now be earned for certain classes, and a new travelling group will trade void shards for new armor and equipment.
On top of this, a new battle story quest system is introduced, along with new deities, access to all previous expansion and adventure packs and even an online trading card game have been crammed into this latest package to reward dedicated players, and to make sure that many more hours of fun are had enjoying EverQuest II.
