Summary

Have you ever wondered how the deity of your choice/personified atheistic force of creation felt when it was dragging life out of the ocean and onto land? Here's your chance to find out.

Spore Creatures is a spin-off from the whopping great multi-genre creation that is Will Wright's Spore. It zooms in on the earlier stages for an exercise in the creation of life and survival. This is guided Darwinism, baby! Or intelligent design, again depending on your belief system...

Things kick off in the Spore galaxy on an innocuous little planet. A nasty alien called Tapti has been mutating the Spore creatures and it's your job to keep your guys alive, evolving to take on whatever challenges may be flung your way. You crawl out of the ocean as a basic organism, but you'll need to change rapidly if you want to survive.

This can be done by collecting different body parts as you move around. Taking them to nests will allow you to attach them to your creature. There's a wealth of different bits and pieces to choose from, and you'll be able to customise attributes such as their size and colour in the quest to make your creature fit enough to survive.

All that will be done on the hoof as you move about the world, making friends and going into battle as the situation demands.

Get ready to take a front seat in the rollercoaster ride that is evolution!
