Summary

Frogwares, the developer behind the Sherlock Holmes point and click adventures, has taken a foray into the dark, gothic world of one of the horror genres greatest creations - Dracula.

Yup, the Prince of Darkness sure gets around. Dracula: Origin is inspired by the works of Bram Stoker, taking players deep into the chilling saga that has haunted readers since Dracula was published back in 1897.

The world's greatest vampire has been up to his naughty tricks once again. When Van Helsing learns that one of his students, Jonathan Harker, has fallen into the clutches of Dracula, he begins to fear for Harker's fiancé, the lovely Mina Harker. What ensues is a battle taking players from London to Egypt to Austria and, naturally, Transylvania. Van Helsing must stop the vampire from laying his hands on a manuscript that will allow him to resurrect his long-dead love in the body of Miss Harker.

Players progress through the game in true point and click style. Frogwares has opted to include the option to hit the space bar and illuminate usable items, saving players from having to endlessly grope around environments to find something that'll help them.

Let's face it, who doesn't want to be a goth detective from time to time?
