Summary

It is 1949, okay. The peace following the end of World War II sits on the knife edge that is the Cold War. All it will take to push it over the edge, to send Europe plummeting back into violence and chaos, is the smallest of incidents. That incident comes in the form of an aircraft accident when an Allied transporter and a Russian fighter collide over Tempelhof Airport during the Berlin Blockade. Don't ask whose fault it was - it doesn't matter. What matters is that the incident is all the justification Stalin needs to plunge us into all-out war.

Over the course of 18 missions, players will lead small units comprised of armour and infantry in a cold war run hot. The action will take you from snowy mountain passes to fortified islands to bustling dock areas, prompting you to use urban warfare tactics such as building and taking cover, creating fortifications or tunnelling.

The action follows a POI (Point of Interest) system, prompting players to take control of or defend key points, earning a steady stream of Prestige Points or useful assets such as radar and helipads. Prestige Points can, in turn, be used to call in special attacks such as napalm.

With locations being of the free-roaming variety, you'll find yourself using ever deepening tactics - not to mention altering the way you play to accommodate the dynamic weather system.
