Splat Renegade Paintball offers intense single player action, with 28 tournament and fieldball matches to experience. There is online multiplayer action via Xbox Live, where 7-on-7 action is possible. You can also battle against a friend using the two-player split-screen option. For the PC version of the game there is Internet and LAN play.

Splat Renegade Paintball has eight different game types for players to enjoy, including: King of the Hill, Elimination and Center Flag. Gamers can design and customise their levels with the detailed Field Editor game feature. This gives players the option to design the paintball field of his/her dreams. Gamers can choose from 13 distinct indoor and outdoor environments, which include: arenas, stadiums, cities, hills and military testing grounds. In addition, there are over 150 themed objects, such as bushes, trees, forts and scrapped cars, which can be placed wherever you want. In the Fantasy Arcade Mode it is possible to place power-ups such as: rapid fire, invincibility, ricochet, sniper, cannonball and ghost in various places throughout the field.
