Summary

CivCity: Rome is an ingenious city builder inspired by the world of Sid Meier's Civilization. Through dozens of missions, each offering many different scenarios, you will be charged with building, nurturing and managing Rome's great constructs as you attempt to lead the Empire from modest beginnings to its mighty zenith. The game is created by both Firefly Studios and Firaxis Games.

Featuring hundreds of buildings, including gladiatorial schools, amphitheatres, legionnaire forts, weapons workshops and the Circus Maximus, CivCity: Rome offers gamers an intense and detailed look at Roman life. It is now possible to see how the Romans went about their daily lives: for the first time in a city builder, you can actually look inside the Villas, the forums, and even the Roman baths. The game has many varied characters that will interact directly with you and bring drama to your city. They will each show a range of emotions, their state of health and express candid feelings. You can also follow the life of a Roman family - it is up to you whether they thrive and prosper from small hut to luxurious palace.

CivCity: Rome is all about building a city, and by merely placing a few buildings it is possible to watch your city spring to life. More than 70 different technologies can be developed over the course of time to give your city a strategic advantage. The game also offers access to many interesting facts using 'CityPedia', which is basically an encyclopaedia within the gameplay about life in Roman times.
