Summary

The Final Fantasy franchise was launched in 1991 on the Super Nintendo and hasn't looked back. Gamers can now re-experience one of the most famous games in the Final Fantasy series: now with additional content, Final Fantasy IV makes its way to the GBA.

You play the role of Cecil, the leader of Baron's elite Red Wings force, as the king orders you to recover the world's most powerful elemental crystals from other peaceful nations at whatever cost. However, after deciding to question these actions, the king orders that you are cast out in disgrace. However, you soon uncover a sinister plot, which left unchecked could result in the end of life as we know it. Now you join forces with your friend Kain and set off on an epic adventure that will take you from the depths of the earth to the furthest side of the moon.

Final Fantasy IV Advance follows the classic role-playing genre that has been such an enduring cornerstone to fans of the franchise. Gamers must travel the world, going to various towns and dungeons, defeating a host of terrifying creatures as they progress. Both vital information and clues are gathered along the way by friendly characters, which help Cecil find the reason for the king's strange behaviour. Every time you win a battle or successfully complete a task, you will earn experience, giving you points. Earning enough points will make the character 'level up', resulting in making you more powerful. It is also possible for players to upgrade their characters with new and improved items and equipment.

Final Fantasy IV Advance enjoys vastly improved graphics and sound. The background visuals have also been improved and enhanced. The game also features an entirely new 50 level dungeon, with new creatures and extremely difficult bosses to defeat.
