Summary

Alex Rider is a fourteen-year-old boy who finds his world turned upside down when his guardian - Uncle Ian - dies in suspicious circumstances. Recruited into MI6 at this unfeasibly tender age, young Alex undertakes a series of dangerous missions under a veil of total secrecy. Each new operation cranks up the stakes with ingenious gadgets and high-powered action plus a bit of stealth thrown in for good measure.

The game's story kicks off with Alex nowhere in sight, strangely enough. Uncle Ian's on screen however, and he's trapped inside a strange mansion with no-one for company but a bunch of hostile guards. Of course, he has to try and get out of there any way he can, and with a combination of stealth and brute force, you have to do your best to sneak, kick and punch your way through. We shan't tell you any more of the story lest we give anything away. Suffice to say, you'll be kept busy with all the characters, gadgets and in-game action.

Alex Rider: Stormbreaker is a proper little Metal Gear Solid-style thriller in waiting. Based on the character from the popular series of books for 'young adults' (and the 2006 movie) it's an ideal alternative for those who question Snake's eating habits.
