Summary

Namco have been tireless in their commitment to keeping their twenty five year old corporate mascot Pac-Man busy in a variety of new titles. Zoo Digital have been equally committed to publishing hi resulting exploits in these parts. The latest outing for the round headed, pill-popping ghost hater is Pac-Man Pinball, coming to the GBA, very much the home of pinball games these days.

This crossover is made possible chiefly by the fact that Pac-Man is similar in shape to a pinball, but is no less successful for it. If you’ve been following the Pacster’s recent adventures, you’ll be aware that he’s constantly having to rescue his friends and family from the ever-villainous ghosts – Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde. This episode sees you revisiting the levels from the Pac-Man World games – Pac Village and the Haunted Boardwalk, this time in pinball form.

There are sixteen levels in total, spread across two entirely separate tables which the screen obligingly scrolls across to show you as you move across them. Half man, half pinball, Pac-Man rolls across them picking up Pac-Dots, Power Pellets rescuing his abducted chums. And Ms. Pac-Man makes an appearance for some multi-ball action, too. If you like pinball games, then Pac-Man pinball’s another one to consider for your GBA.
