Summary

Singles: Flirt Up Your Life, was one of the more risqué games released last year. Developed by German software house Rotobee, the game put you in charge of a flat inhabited by young singletons Mike and Linda. The aim of the game was to make sure that the arbitrarily named pair ended up together, but this wasn’t as easy as you might think – two free young things like them had offers pouring in from all manner of very detailed digital hunks and hunkettes.

Just over a year later, and Rotobee are back with Singles 2: Triple Trouble. As you may have guessed from the title, the dynamic of the original is pleasingly altered, with three unattached 20-somethings sharing the flat instead of only two. Extra spice is added to the mix by the twist – one of your character’s new flatmates is his or her ex. Will you try and get back in with them, or go for the baggage-free route, risking your old flame’s wrath?

The game is fully customisable with 16 different characters to choose from, from superbitches to meek librarian types. These characters may behave quite differently depending on who you throw them in the flat with. The already impressive graphics of the original are improved upon further with an all new 3D engine, and gameplay is deepened with a detailed storyline which features quests and sub-quests, as well as the ability to interact with more objects and the addition of new options. You can invite friends round to make the situation even more charged and sexually tense. If the Sims is Blind Date, then this is Tutti Frutti.
