The Myst collection of video games is one that is renowned on the PC platform. The long running series spanned four fully-fledged adventures before Uru came along. Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, despite the detached title, was faithful to its predecessors, with players embarking on a brand new adventure as Yeesha in a visually stunning game world littered with new and familiar puzzles. And the third of the Uru games, Path of the Shell, follows this tradition as players learn more of the shortcomings of D'ni and the future of this ill-fated city.

Path of the Shell, which is every bit as addictive and involving as Ages Beyond Myst, brings with it additional clothing options and new ages and areas to explore, as well as fresh gameplay elements that see players interacting with Uru's inhabitants, swimming, and even keeping journals.

But what many players find most stimulating in this mysterious world are the puzzles. Some of the series' previous puzzles were indeed mind-bending, and Path of the Shell extends this gameplay trait by bringing with it 10 brand new challenges.

Whilst there are more than a few Myst 'clones' lurking on PC, there are few that can match the polished gameplay and visuals of the Myst series of games. In its respective genre, Uru is top-notch, and Path of the Shell is better still.
