And now games players and fans of the TV show get the chance to manage their own Fame Academy hopeful in a brand new simulation game for PC.

Gameplay spreads itself across nine in-depth levels in which players must make management decisions and teach their up-and-coming star a variety of skills. Image is one of the most crucial aspects of getting your charge noticed, so players have been given the freedom to dress and style their performer in any way they see fit, choosing from a selection of 40 head shapes, 120 hairstyles and 270 items of clothing. There will also be 20 showbiz professionals on hand to teach your singer a variety of skills and some 80 dance steps.

Your career will also span 14 concert missions, each of which will be based in spectacular locations such as Las Vegas and Woodstock, as you perform 14 well known tracks by big names such as Sophie-Ellis Bextor. Texas, Donna Summer, Ms Dynamite, Elton John, Daniel Bedingfield and Lionel Richie.
