Summary

Smash Cars Racing is all about steering remote control vehicles at great speed through a variety of environments. Each track is based on realistic landscapes ranging from sandy beaches, through Mexican Cattle Ranches, and to the green hills of an Irish Castle. A neat twist to the gameplay lies in the fact that as the races take place, the regular things in daily life still go on around you - running into a pedestrian's shoe or a fire hydrant is something you'd do well to avoid.

Smash Cars can be played in one or two player mode and all courses come with special pick-ups and features, including power boosts, jumps, and realistic physics for the best virtual remote control buggy action. The physics and handling of the vehicles are designed to allow the player to maintain an ideal driving trajectory at a maximum average speed, manoeuvering around and evading other moving obstacles.

Smash Cars demands that players use all the combinations of handling to maintain speed, while the unpredictability of events and the numerous obstacles guarantees interesting gameplay. By using a mixture of acceleration, braking, steering and jumping, even remote control buggy-gaming veterans (we know you're out there) are sure to find this game a stiff test of their skills. Configuring your vehicle with the right stats and extra parts is vital to progression through the levels. Success means upgrades, and upgrades usually lead to a better performance, as long as you can achieve perfect harmony between man and machine. With a variety of track surfaces to race on, some devilishly difficult courses, and the myriad distractions of people going about their everyday business, Smash Cars has a lot going for it, even if it is on a small scale!
