Summary

Ever dreamt of being John Wayne? Of course you have. Everyone wishes that they could be a cowboy. Imagine it: you tie up your hoss, tip your Stetson to one side and stroll through the saloon doors, fingers round the handle of your six-shooter. "Gimme a shot o' the old fire water and make it snappy", you'd say, before casting a harsh gaze around the room. Thing is, if you actually did that these days you'd probably get thrown out of the pub or arrested or something, so it might be a better idea to try this wild west simulator on the PC.

Starting out as a rancher with a few good men and a handful of cattle, players aim to extend the ranch and herds through cattle trade, hopefully making a few dollars along the way. In order to do this, players need to assemble a team that can work together and can protect the livestock from bandits and those pesky Injuns. This comes at a price, of course. To keep the team happy they need to be fed and watered - coffee, beans and a drop of Ol' Redeye should suffice.

Now there's more than one way to go about doing things here. You can choose to take the high road and expand your farms by upholding the law and generally being a good guy. Alternatively, take the low road, where for a few dollars you can train your cowboys to become bandits and set criminal gangs on the loose in native reservations, saloons and banks.

Whether you're good, bad, or just ugly, this is an ideal way to live out your Wild West dreams.
